the software

longbook is free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (the full text ships with the code). you may use, study, modify, and share it under those terms. as the GPL states, the software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — you use it at your own discretion, and its authors are not liable for losses arising from its use to the extent permitted by law.

longbook is a memory, not an advisor

longbook remembers and reminds. every figure it shows is computed from what you entered — it does not connect to your bank, cannot verify your data, and is not financial, tax, or investment advice. always confirm amounts and due dates with your actual provider before acting on them. missing a payment because an entry was wrong or a reminder wasn’t seen remains your responsibility.

your data is yours

everything you put into longbook stays in files on your device (see the privacy policy). we take no ownership of it, no copy of it, and no responsibility for backing it up — please keep backups the way you would for any important files.

optional support payments

the app is complete and free; paying is never required. a support payment is a voluntary thank-you, processed by PayPal under their terms. it unlocks no features — you receive a licence token whose only effect is a thank-you note in the app. support payments are one-time, not subscriptions, and are non-refundable — see the cancellation & refund policy.

longbook.app is informational. we may change the site, the app, and these terms over time; changes to the terms are posted here with a new effective date. these terms are governed by the laws of India.
