What your AI can do in longbook

Once connected, your AI uses longbook's tools. Every number comes from the same engine the apps use, in each currency, never converted.

It can read

the next payment, and what is due soon
cash flow over any dates
your commitments and your charges
spending by category, by account and by person
your accounts, people and categories
a search across everything
the longbook guide, so it knows the format

On your computer it can also read the bank statements in your documents folder and the monthly reports longbook drew, with their comments.

It can write

add commitments and charges
change a commitment, mark a charge paid, remove charges
cancel a commitment
leave a note on a card (see "Notes from your AI")

Every write is checked against longbook's format. It can't hold a card number, a CVV, an expiry, a PIN or a password. Writes land in Proposals with the AI's name, to keep or undo.

Questions

Can it see my bookmarks?

No. Bookmarks aren't part of what the server shares.

No. longbook never connects to a bank, and your AI doesn't need one.
