Refunds, restoring a purchase and Family Sharing
Get a refund
Within 7 days of buying longbook, open the Account screen and tap Request a Refund. Apple handles the refund under its own terms. If the button doesn't show, ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
A refund also ends the 12 months of longbook Cloud that came with the purchase, for you and for your family.
Refunds of Cloud's monthly fee are handled by Apple too. Cancelling Cloud stops the next renewal. It doesn't refund the current month.
Restore your purchase
On a new device, or after reinstalling, open the Account screen and tap Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
Apple may ask you to sign in to your Apple Account, the one you use for the App Store. That sheet is Apple's, not longbook's: a longbook account signed in with Google or Apple has no password, and none is asked for here.
When the purchase is found, the screen says Purchase restored. When none is on that Apple Account, it says so, and you can sign out of the App Store and in with the account you bought with.
Family Sharing
Your purchase covers everyone in your Apple family:
- Each person installs longbook on their own devices and uses their own longbook account.
- Each family member also gets the free 12 months of Cloud.
- Each person's longbook is their own folder in their own iCloud. Family members don't see each other's records unless you share a report.
If a family member doesn't see longbook as purchased, check that purchase sharing is on in your Apple family settings, then restore on their device.
Charged twice?
In Support, tap Ask a person to open an email to the team, and tell us the date of each charge. Please don't send card numbers. Apple's receipt email is enough.
