cancellation & refund policy

there is nothing to cancel
longbook is free. the complete app costs nothing, requires no purchase, and has no subscriptions — so there is no recurring charge to cancel, ever. if you stop using longbook, you simply stop; nothing keeps billing you, because nothing ever billed you.
support payments are thank-yous
the one thing you can pay for is supporting independent development — a voluntary, one-time thank-you. it is not a purchase of goods or services: it unlocks no features, and the app was already fully yours before you paid. what you receive is a licence token whose only effect is a thank-you note in the app.
because a support payment is a gift, not a purchase, it is not refundable — there is no product to return and nothing to cancel. please only give what you’re glad to give.
genuine payment errors get fixed
we distinguish a change of heart from a mistake. contact us within 7 days if:
- you were charged twice for one support payment, or charged the wrong amount — we’ll work with PayPal, our payment processor, to reverse the erroneous charge.
- you paid but never received your licence — we’ll issue it against your payment id.
- you lost your licence (new machine, lost note) — no time limit on this one; we’ll re-issue it free against your payment id, whenever.
