A trip gets its own report: what a holiday, a visit or a work trip cost, counted over its days, people and accounts.

## Start a trip

Open **Trips** (in Settings on iPhone, or ⌘7 on Mac) and choose **Start a trip**. longbook asks for:

- **Trip name**: what the trip's report is called, such as Goa or Mum's visit.
- **Trip people**: the people travelling.
- **Trip accounts**: the cards and accounts the trip is paid from. Choose none to count every account.

Tap **Start Trip**. **Trip mode** is on: the trip counts confirmed charges from today until you end it.

## Add a past trip

Choose **Add a past trip**, then give it a name, people, accounts and **Trip dates**: the first and last day. Confirmed charges on those days are counted. Tap **Add Trip**.

## End a trip

Tap **End Trip**. The report keeps the days from the trip's first day to today.

## See what a trip cost

**Trips** lists your past trips. **Open Report** opens a trip's report, which also appears in **Reports**. Like monthly reports, a trip counts confirmed charges only: ones a statement or an email proves, or that you marked paid.

## Questions

### Can my AI make a trip report?

Yes. Ask it: "Make a report of my Goa trip in my longbook". It fills in as the trip's charges are confirmed.

### Why is a charge missing from my trip?

It may not be confirmed yet, it may fall outside the trip's days, or it may be paid from an account the trip doesn't count.
