## The calendar

The **Calendar** shows every payment on its day, twelve months back and twelve ahead.

- Each day with a payment shows how many, with up to three dots in category colours.
- A transfer, such as a card bill, has its own mark and isn't counted.
- Step by month with the arrows or a swipe. **Today** returns to the current month.
- Tap a day to list its payments and transfers with their amounts. Each has **Mark Paid** from today on. **Show in Commitments** opens the full list for that day.

The calendar is drawn inside longbook. Nothing is written to Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, and money in is not shown on it.

## Bookmarks

A bookmark saves a commitment to one short list, so the ones you check most stay together.

- Swipe right on a row on iPhone, or right-click on Mac, and choose **Bookmark**.
- **Bookmarks** opens the list. It is in Settings on iPhone, and is the bookmark icon at the foot of the Mac sidebar.
- **Bookmarked Only** in the **Commitments** filters narrows the list to them.

A bookmark changes nothing about a commitment. It is a display setting saved in the longbook folder, so it shows on iPhone and Mac when both open the same folder. Your AI can't see bookmarks.

## Questions

### Does longbook remind me before a payment?

Yes. The next payment stays in view on the iPhone widget and in the Mac menu bar.

Still have a question? Open **Support** in the app, under **Settings**, then **Help & about**, or write to contact@longbook.app and a person answers.
