# Prompts to ask, report and tidy

Paste these into Claude or ChatGPT with the longbook connector on.

## Ask (nothing in longbook changes)

- **"What's my next commitment in my longbook"**: the next day you owe something, and what is due.
- **"What is coming in my longbook in the next 30 days?"**: everything due, by day, with the total per currency.
- **"What did I spend in July in my longbook?"**: what you spent, and what is not yet confirmed.
- **"What renews this year in my longbook?"**: your yearly, half-yearly and quarterly payments, in date order.
- **"Make my weekly longbook page"**: one page for the week.
- **"Set up a morning brief for my longbook"**: a short summary every morning. Needs scheduled tasks in your AI.

## Reports

- **"Create a report in my longbook"**: over the days, accounts, people and categories you choose. Counts confirmed charges only.
- **"Make a report of my Goa trip in my longbook"**: fills in as the trip's charges are confirmed.

## Tidy

- **"Tidy my longbook"**: finds doubled charges, bank-style names and odd categories, and fixes each one once you approve it.
- **"Reorganise my longbook"**: one pass over the whole book. Names as you'd say them, every row in a category, people and accounts linked, doubles merged, nothing lost. Amounts and dates are never touched. It waits in **Proposals** as one proposal.

In the app, **Reorganise my longbook** on the AI Connections screen runs it with longbook's own AI. It is limited each month, and more with Cloud.
