# Monthly reports and sharing them

## Reports

longbook draws a report for every month that holds a confirmed charge. It has the month's total, spending by account and by category, and every confirmed charge.

A charge is confirmed when a bank statement or an email proves it, you mark it paid, or you set its amount. A charge that was only planned doesn't count, and a month still to come has no report.

- **Not yet confirmed** counts the month's past charges nobody has confirmed, beside the total.
- Press and hold a charge for **Remove from report**. The charge stays in your longbook. **Put back** restores it.
- Transfers stay out of every report.
- Reports are in the home currency. Nothing is converted.
- Each report is a file in the reports folder of your longbook.

## Share a report

**Share report** makes a link and a password. The person opens the link in a browser, types the password, reads the report and comments on each section. They don't need longbook.

- The password is shown once. Send it separately from the link.
- The link expires after 3 days. **Stop sharing** ends it sooner and deletes the shared copy.
- **Pull comments** brings their comments into the report in your folder.
- They see only that one report.

## Questions

### I lost the password. What now?

longbook can't show it again. **Stop sharing**, then **Share report** for a new link and password.

### Can my AI make a report?

Yes. Ask: "Create a report in my longbook", or "Make a report of my Goa trip". It shows on the Reports screen.
