# Back up, export and delete your data

## Your data is already yours

Your longbook is a folder of plain JSON files in your iCloud Drive, or in the folder you chose at setup. The main file is `financial_memory.json`. Monthly reports are files in the reports folder. Open the folder in Files on iPhone or Finder on Mac, and copy it wherever you like.

## Back up

In **Data & privacy**, tap **Back Up Now**. longbook makes a copy of the file exactly as stored, to share or keep.

**History** in **Proposals** also keeps your last 50 versions. **Restore** brings an earlier one back.

## Export to Excel or CSV

longbook has no Excel or CSV export. Two ways to get a table:

- Any tool that reads JSON can open `financial_memory.json`.
- Connect your AI and ask it to list your commitments or a month's charges as a table you can paste into a spreadsheet.

## Without a licence

If an account has no licence, everything stays visible and exportable. Nothing new can be added.

## Delete your longbook

**Delete longbook…** in **Data & privacy** explains how: delete the longbook folder in Files or Finder, like any other folder.

## Delete your account

**Delete Account…** on the Account screen removes your email and everything hosted for you: the copy for your AI and your shared reports. It doesn't delete your folder. If you have longbook Cloud, cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings too.
